Konstantine Arkyadvich paced back and forth inside the Star Destroyer, The Rightfully, looking down at the durasteel beneath his feet. Standing farther back on the floor of the Command Deck, Mira Albion stood facing his general direction. While Mira proved an invaluable ally, and Konstantine held no fear towards her, the older man had accepted the fact that he may never get used to her 'blank' expression while she 'watched' those around her. Without eyes, it was hard to discern the Imperial Knight Master's emotions, but Konstantine knew her well enough by now to understand that she was on the edge of her seat.

The Rightfully travelled quickly around through the Maw, blasting at thousands of kilometers a second. Within thirty minutes, they would reach the misshapen planetoid of Kessel. Within thirty minutes, the battle would commence. Within thirty minutes, all that Konstantine had worked so hard over for the past thirty years of his life would begin. Turning towards Mira, the incredibly tall man smiled. Mira did not smile back, she never did, but she gave her commander a thoughtful nod. Turning towards Aurielle, the Zeltron whom he had practically raised, Konstantine spoke.

"It's time, take the stand. Reaffirm what we know."

The battle plan itself had been drafted and presented by Aurielle. This was his attempt to showcase to the other Legates that she was a leader more than capable and worthy of her position as his Chief of Staff. Now, all that remained was for her to remind everyone of their purpose and inspire the pilots. Everything was in place now, they were no more than one step away from the beginning of greatness. This was it, after this battle, the galaxy would never be the same.

Aurielle had a confident expression as she took to the lectern and gave a nod to a member of her staff who put up the holodisplay behind her. With a nod she began, "Your Imperial Majesty, fellow commanders- today our objective is Kessel. Kessel is a major stepping stone for our future plans. Simply put, the goal is to take this rock as efficiently as possible. With this in mind here's how we plan to do it. Simply put, we're going to beat their PDF with a reasonable commitment of force. We will then launch a series of air assaults to cripple key infrastructure with the intent to disrupt all attempts of immediate attempts to counterattack our landing zones. Finally, we will work on integrating electronic warfare, specifically interception of communications to ensure we have foreknowledge about their movements. Now onto your specific orders as per the operational plan." With this she proceeds to list each commander's objective in a cool, calm, and composed way. She made sure that each commander verbally repeated their instructions and having them walk it through on the holo map. After they simulated a few times she turned to her father.

"My job sire, will be to sweep the space clear of any fighters, coordinate strikes, and then coordinate air support as needed for our land forces."

Of course, the main point of this operation is to test out Konstatine's own war theory. Aurielle has spent the last two years taking his theory and working on applying it effectively. In this regard she has spent the last few weeks working with all these people's staff and running simulations and wargames. She did her part, now it's up to Konstantine to give his permission and everyone will do their job.

"All we need now sire, is your approval."

Konstantine couldn't help the smile that snuck across his face as he watched Aurielle give her speech and outline her battle plans to the Commanders. At the end, she turned to him and stated the simple fact, all that remained was his approval. With pride beaming, he stepped up and stated,

"My approval has been granted. Go forth, my New Imperials, and show the galaxy the first taste of our glorious new Empire!"

-------------------------------

Immediately, Mira turned and left the Command Bridge. The Imperial Knight Master could be seen lightly shaking as she walked, moving with ever increasing speed towards the landing craft. The Imperial Knights were neither strong enough nor ready to be utilized in ground battles, and their ultimate goal was to be defenders and supporters of the Emperor, not soldiers. But in this one case, they needed someone of incredible strength to lead the ground assault.

Mira was that 'someone.'

The Battle droids Mira had convinced Konstantine to produce were more than enough to take over the facility without Mira's involvement being necessary, however, Mira demanded she be involved. The 'human' element was necessary, in her opinion, to properly control the slaves once the riots began. While she wished she would be enough to handle the 'human' element alone, she knew one woman could not control ten thousand rioting slaves. Therefore, she had brought along a handful of her most trusted Knights to assist her. Moving towards the hangar, she listened as the pilots began boarding their vessels and preparing for departure.

In terms of manpower, one thousand Legionnaire droids were to be deployed to eliminate the slavers. While they possessed far more, Aurielle had told Mira that 'We need to limit ourselves in our attack strategies. We cannot unleash our full potential in every battle.' Which made sense, and it assisted the soldiers in hiding their true power. Indeed, Konstantine had only brought one Star Destroyer, one Carrier, and two corvettes on this mission. But Aurielle's words, to Mira, still sounded like some sort ofsex joke, but she wasn't about to make that reference in front of Aurielle.

She would, however, make that joke to Lesh. Boarding the small transport vessel and sitting down across from her friend, Mira turned her head in Lesh's direction and stated,

"We are bringing only part of our forces, don't want to 'blow our load' on our first attack."

At that, the white haired woman grinned. Her smile was always far more sinister than she intended, but in this case it could be allowed. They were killing slavers, and slavers did not deserve life.

While Mira had been in conference with The Fel Emperor and his Chief of Staff, Lesh had been boarding the transport vessel and checking over her gear. Her whip took special care to maintain as they were known for shorting out from improper use. She was aware of their ultimate goal and their plan of attack, due to many conversations and much discussion with Mira. The Twi'lek sat in contemplation and created small sparks between her fingers as she mentally steeled herself for the impending fight.

"We are bringing only part of our forces, don't want to 'blow our load' on our first attack."

It took her a moment to replay what her friend had said, but the moment she caught it, she shut her eyes and forced her face to be still. Her lip twitched regardless of this and she forced down the laught by clearing her throat and throwing a smile back at Mira. "I suppose they want us to be gentle then?"

The Naval Group dropped out of hyperspace and immediately the TIEs deploy and form up in their groups

Aurielle's cool voice sparked over their intercoms as she authorized the commencement of the offensive operations. "32nd Fighter Wing, you are cleared to begin your assault on that station. 3rd Bomber Group, you are to link up with the 8th Escort group and begin bombing of the strategic targets previously discussed. Finally, 4th Interceptor Squadron and 10th Fighter Wing, you are to escort our troops down and then provide CAS. Let's get it done."

With her instructions to her group finished Aurielle commed Mira to tell her to launch. "Lady Mira, you are cleared for departure. May the Force be with you and I hope you have fun down there."

Of course, this is a sharp departure for Aurielle, being up here and coordinating her fighters instead of leading at the tip. She's not very sure if she likes it yet. Well, in a way, she does hope that she can find a way to jump in a cockpit. But for now, all she can do is watch the monitors and listen to her boys.

Mira 'watched' her friend intently through the Force, smiling as Lesh stifled a laugh. No, this was a serious moment, and no one should be laughing. However, Mira couldn't help herself in being lighthearted.

"I suppose they want us to be gentle then?"

"Gentle? Oh no, we're going to rape their boy pussies."

Standing, Mira planted her feet firmly on the ground and centered herself through the Force. She could feel the Darkness swirling around her heart, demanding to be let in, but she closed the door and locked her energies away. She could not let emotions rule her at this time, lest she lose control. Suddenly, Aurielle's voice could be heard over the communications units inside the transport ship.

"Lady Mira, you are cleared for departure. May the Force be with you and I hope you have fun down there."

Allowing her face to form a neutral expression, Mira nodded and called out to their pilot.

"You heard the Legate! Take off!"

Turning to her Imperial Knights, she counted their number. Two men and three women, four if she counted herself. Holding out her arms as the vessel shuddered in takeoff, she shouted.

"Do not allow emotions to control you as we fight! Our enemies deserve slow deaths, but in our infinite kindness we shall grant them swift ones! Call upon the Force, my brothers and sisters, let it guide your actions and keep your thoughts in check. I can sense the auras of five of my finest before me, and when the day is done I demand to sense all five of you once more! Glory to the Emperor!"

At that, the ship shuddered violently as it entered the atmosphere. Slowly, the exit ramp began lowering down. A red light illuminated the inside of the cabin as the ship continued to descend. Once it reached 100 meters off the surface, the light flashed green. As the new light flooded the cabin, Mira leapt out of the vessel towards the ground below.

-----------------------------

Konstantine observed the battle from orbit and from small holoscreen broadcasting live feed of various FO TIE Fighters. From what could be seen, the slavers of Kessel had no idea this attack had been in the making. So far, he had not observed any losses on his side, but the battle had only just begun.

The transport ships descended into the atmosphere, dozens following in the path of the lead ship that contained the six Imperial Knights. Their number was so few, he prayed for their safety. In their wake, the Legionnare droids followed, dropping down to the surface from over one hundred meters above.

The BL-series droids had been initially created to serve as combat units for the Mandalorians a little more than 500 years ago. They were an elite fighting force to be reckoned with, and with the modifications to improve their armor and weapons they were no different than machines of today's age. But they would be useless to controlling the slaves, that's what Konstantine needed Mira for.

He only hoped that the slaves would listen to her.

There's a certain beauty to watching fighter and bomber groups operate, the concentric movements, mutual support elements, and above all a fluidity that is seemingly disorganized, but in reality is highly concentrated and mobile. In a CAGs life, their wildest dream is to carry out a decapitation strike. Namely, the destruction of the Higher Command's ability to coordinate any sensible defence and this is what happened.

After achieving their initial goals, her fighters and bombers grouped up and began to hit their secondary objectives and provide CAS for the forces below. This is a well rehearsed operation and one that Aurielle expects to be carried out with perfection and as she watches the feed and listens to the audio she is rewarded with something resembling that. Nothing is perfect, but she can hear the wing commanders giving out proper orders and their squad mates responding with alacrity.

"Maybe we didn't need Mira to even land troops down there..." Of course this wasn't said out loud, because it'll lead to an angry Mira which is decidedly unhealthy.

But, it is a simple reality, the coordinated fighter-bomber and infantry assault is tearing through them and they can't respond. Soon it will be over and they'll have taken another world.

Mira's blades spun like twin whirlwinds of death, every slaver and prison guard that dared approach her, fire at her, or draw a blade in her direction fell like wheat before her scythe. No slave or prisoner dared approach the blind, laughing woman as she tore through her enemies. The bombers and fighters overhead annihilated most of the resistance, and the Legionnaire droids made quick work of any organized resistance that the locals attempted to field.

Within thirty minutes, the battles across the planet had died down. The Pykes and Hutts on Kessel were not ready for such an invasion and, thusly, were woefully underprepared to deal with this full scale military invasion. Motioning for a few floating cameras that her associates had deployed to follow her, she strode to an area where she could stand atop the bodies of more than a dozen fallen slavers and prison guards.

From there, she gave a speech to not only the newly freed around her, but also the entire planet.

"Rejoice you downtrodden! For The New Imperials have come to set you free! All slaves who worked in the mines, all prisoners who have lived under the oppression of the Hutts, you are completely free! I am Mira Albion, Imperial Knight Master of the reformed Imperial Knights, and I support Konstantine Arkyadvich as the Fel Emperor!

"Long have we suffered under the oppressive yoke of narcissistic Warlords and bloated Hutts! We will tolerate them no longer! We offer all who reside on this world a free passage to the nearby planet of Formos, where they may stay and begin life anew or leave freely to go anywhere in the galaxy! But I offer you a third choice, a greater choice. You may join us, and get direct vengeance on those who have tortured and imprisoned you for so long! You may help us eradicate the Hutts from the galaxy and destroy every last bastard son Warlord who still draws breath!

Who is with me?!"

Now, Mira had faith in her ability to convince people, however, she was also not above having a plan B. All the while she spoke, she reached out to the minds of those around her, the hundreds of slaves and prisoners who had worked in the mines where Mira had been landed to fight. She pushed them all, gently, to enter a more suggestive state. She made them want to believe in her, to want to cheer at her call to action, to want to fight.

And they cheered. And they roared. And they screamed. Kessel was theirs.
